In times of actual COVID-19 pandemic, key workers such as health care workers, social workers, school teachers, humanitarian workers etc. are taking care of the sick and needy in an overstrained system, ensuring food supply is maintained for all, keeping law and order in troubled times, providing essential transport, as well as many more support services for the vital needs of all of us during the COVID-19 pandemic. This unprecedented situation and huge responsibility are likely putting immense strain on key workers and therefore many of them are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious and increasingly exhausted physically and mentally.
Stress Management and Resilience Program is specially designed to provide key workers with tools (advanced breathing techniques, physical exercise, knowledge and skills training) they can quickly put into practice to help sustain them during this time of crisis and to improve stress management, personal resilience, well-being, performance capacity and prevent burn-out.
Our organization conducted 5 online workshops with, in total, more than 150 participants. Most participants reported significant reduction of anxiety and fear, improvement in ability to cope with stress, better mental focus, improvement of energy level and capacity to face workplace challenges as well as better general wellbeing.
